Speaker Proposal Form - VCTM Conference March 2016

Registration

  • Completing this form does NOT register you for the conference. It only puts your proposal in the hands of the program committee for review. IF your proposal is accepted, you will be instructed to register as a speaker on this website by January 15 in order to be put in the conference program. Primary speaker registration is $80, and secondary speaker registration is $120 (general conference rate).
  • This is for Vendors who wish to present a session as well as maintain a vendor table at the conference. Your vendor payment covers your registration, but your proposal to speak must be reviewed by the program committee. You will be notified by the program committee if your proposal is accepted. Your vendor fee must be paid to Margaret Coffey who handles vendors for the conference.

Submitting a proposal is "free", but conference registration is $80 for lead speakers and $120 for secondary speakers.   To submit a proposal, click on the "REGISTER" button below left. 

We invite proposals for 75-minute sessions at all levels, from Pre-Kindergarten to Post-Secondary.  Proposals should explore the theme "Teaching Mathematics in a Changing World" where possible.  Multidisciplinary presentations are welcome.

All presenter rooms have a teacher station with a computer, monitor, projector, DVD player, audio, and internet access.  In addition, there are 5 computer labs available, so sessions that engage participants in computer-based activities are encouraged. We ask that the description of the session highlight the mathematics content to be presented. Please complete all required fields in order for your proposal to be reviewed.

Deadline for proposals is December 18, 2015.  If your proposal is accepted, you will need to complete the conference registration form by January 15 in order to be put into the program as a conference speaker. Only one discount registration allowed per session, and all session speakers MUST register under Conference Registration by January 15 to be included in the program.
